Radio Applicants In Loyalty Pledge

Radio broadcasting companies bidding for commercial radio licences have promised ownership continuity if they are successful in their applications.

The Radio Partnership, hoping to gain a North-East England regional licence, has written to the Radio Authority to confirm a vow that they would not sell on the franchise for at least 5 years.

Ice FM, a rival bidder, has pledged a definite 3 year period of ownership.
