Licence Applications

The Radio Authority has received two applications for re-advertised Norwich licences. The closing date for receipt of applications for the Norwich area was 11 April. The radio stations concerned are:

• Radio Broadland Limited (East Anglian Radio PLC) (Incumbent) Russell Stuart: 01603 630 621 or Mike Stewart: 01603 630 521.
• Norfolk Broadcasting Co. Ltd Gordon Wishart: 01692 630 194 or Ron Coles: 01636 812289

Two applications were received for the local licences, for Chichester, Bognor Regis and Littlehampton:

• South West Sussex Radio Ltd Jim Brooks: 012483 828 488
• Southdown FM Ltd Brian Bird: 01243 542266

One application was received for the Humberside area:

• Viking Radio Ltd (Metro Radio GroupPLC) (Incumbent) Phil White or Iain Clasper: 01482 325 141

Re-Advertised Licences

Local licences which have been re-advertised but are yet to receive applications are:

• Eastbourne and Hastings area
• Brighton area
• Cambridge and Haymarket area

Re-Awarded Local Licences

The following local licences have been re-awarded:

• Swansea: Swansea Sound Ltd – the existing licensee
• Liverpool: Radio City (Sound of Merseyside) Ltd: the existing licensee
• Edinburgh: Radio Forth : the existing licensee
