The Radio Authority has awarded the new small scale local licences within East Sussex to three broadcasters: Arrow FM will cover the Hastings area with a “widely appealing” mix; Easy 107 will cover Eastbourne with “music you grew up with” as well as local news, information and entertainment; Surf 107 will broadcast to the Brighton and Hove area with a “contemporary and stylish music-led” output.
Meanwhile, the licence for Peterhead has been awarded to Waves Radio, a music-based service featuring current and classic hits, while Huddersfield FM has won the licence to broadcast to Huddersfield with a mix of local news and information and music.
