Radio Authority Awards Local Licences
The Radio Authority (RA) has awarded small-scale local radio licences for Tayside to the following two groups:
This is the first time that the RA has awarded a full-term, eight year local radio licence to a hospital based group (RNA).
Both licences come into effect as soon as the stations are ready to begin broadcasting.
The RA is also advertising new small-scale FM licences within Cambridgeshire. An applicant may apply for one licence, or for more than one, but must indicate which particular location(s) it proposes to cover.
Each licence will run for eight years from the date the station begins broadcasting. The closing date for applications is 13 October 1998. A non-refundable application fee of £750 is payable for each application submitted.
