Radio Authority Pre-Advertises Licence

The Radio Authority is this week publishing a notice inviting declarations of intent to apply for the local radio licence on the FM waveband for the Lincoln area, for an 8 year period starting from 28 February 2000.

Prospective applicants must submit a declaration of intent to apply before the 20 October 1998, accompanied by a non-refundable £2,500 fee, and a £40,000 deposit which will be refundable upon receipt by the Authority of a valid application in response to the subsequent advertisement of the licence.

This is only the second time that the RA has ‘pre-advertised’ a licence, and further details of this procedure may be obtained by written request, from the Authority Head Of Development, Holbrook House, 14 Great Queen Street, London, WC2B 5DG.
