Radio Investments Ltd, the UK radio investment company, has announced record pre-tax profits of £3.16 million in the year ending September 30 1997. This is 100% up on the previous year.
Contributory factors to this growth were the profit achieved on the sale of Essex Radio and significant contributions from subsidiary companies including Island FM and the Local Radio Company in particular.
As well as being the largest stakeholder in Capital Radio the company has investments in over twenty radio stations, including Talk Radio , Orchard Media and Minster Sound.
