The Radio Authority has advertised two licences and issued a new licence. A new Independent Local Radio Licence for Stratford Upon Avon has been advertised. The licence being offered will use the FM frequency and 170,000 adults should be able to receive it.
Two local licences for Northern Ireland have been re-advertised. The AM licence covers the Belfast area, and the FM licence covers as much of Northern Ireland as technically possible. These licences are currently held by Cool FM and Downtown Radio.
