Radio Revenue Up 25%

The latest figure for commercial radio revenue has been released; for the period April to June 1995, revenue was £66.087 million. This is an increase of 25.4% year on year, and an increase of £9m on Q1 this year.

Radio was the fastest growing medium in the past two years, and on current performance looks set to achieve this in 1995. The Advertising Association, in its Long-term Revenue Forecasts, has predicted that total advertising revenue will rise by 40%. Its prediction for commercial radio is 190%, way ahead of any other medium.
