Radio Times magazine has added a film guide section in a move taken to fight off the competition.
Barry Norman will front the new 14 page section.. This will be the first time that the Radio Times has covered video and film releases, as well as its traditional radio and TV listings.
A poster promotion pack and a free video coupon offer will support the launch. Increased competition from new listings magazines and newspaper listings supplements has forced the title to broaden its appeal. Indeed last week a new listings title called Film & TV Week launched (see *First Issue Review: Film And TV Week. Film & TV Week is concentrating on film listings.
