RAJAR Survey Details

The first Radio Joint Audience Research survey will be conducted by RSL in the 4th quarter of 1992, with the results being published in January 1993.
RAJAR will use the self-completion diary method that is currently used for the JICRAR surveys. RSL is conducting a pilot survey to test the effect of having a diary completed by every member of a selected household. JICRAR only requires one adult member of a household to complete a diary.
A representative sample of the UK population will be researched on a continuous basis. The respondents will be selected by using random location sampling.
As well as radio lisening, television viewing and press readership will be collected by means of a self-completion questionnaire in the diary.
The published reports will contain data for Independent Radio broken down into the same demographic groups used by JICRAR.
