Rajar has decided to return to a “pre-list” diary methodology which will begin in April 1996.
The adoption of a revised version of the diary method for Quarter 4 caused concern because its use resulted in a drop in listening figures for most stations. This method will continue to be used for Q1 1996.
A new style of diary is however in development which will be suited to the ever-increasing number of radio services. It is hoped that this will be introduced in two years time.
