Ray Hall Leaves ABC

The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) has announced that its director, Ray Hall, has left the organisation. Hall has been at the ABC for three years during which he developed its Verified Free Distribution (VFD) system.

Hall also played a key role in the bulk sales dispute between the ABC, News International and the Mirror Group (subscribers see Bulk Sales Battle Between NI And Mirror Group).

Chairman of the ABC, Geoffrey Copeman, said: “Ray has played an important role in both the development of the VFD brand, and the recent development of ABC. His personal dedication to the ABC is symbolised by his commitment to the resolution of the recent dispute concerning national newspapers.”

Until a successor is appointed, Anthony Peacham will become temporary director of bureau, with support from Copeman.
