Readership Of Newspaper Sections
According to an article in Marketing this week, Express Newspapers has called upon the National Readership Survey to provide data on newspaper sections. This follows the news in October this year that several newspapers and independents had commissioned Millward Brown to carry out readership research including data on newspaper sections.
Roger Beeson, managing director of NRS, told MediaTel that both advertisers and agencies are also keen to measure readership of sections, but at present the NRS cannot provide this data. However, at the moment they are considering it, and they have presented three possible ways of measuring newspaper sections plus costings to the NRS board for discussion.
