Real Radio has secured Wales & Borders Trains as the new sponsor of its early morning breakfast show.
The £100,00 deal, which is due to begin on the 4 November, is designed to raise awareness of the group’s online ticket purchasing facility www.walesandbordertrains.co.uk. It will run for an initial 12 months during the early 5am to 9am breakfast slot.
Ian Beattie, communications manager for Wales and Borders Trains, commented: “We chose Real Radio because its target area fits so well with our own and is popular across several of our key markets. This deal will help us to raise awareness of our services, as well as promote our on-line ticketing opportunities.”
Real Radio’s managing director, Roy Bennett, added: “We are delighted to be working with one of Wales’ most established companies. This new relationship further endorses Real Radio’s growth.”
Earlier this month Real Radio launched a £1 million ad campaign to promote its stations in Wales, Yorkshire and Scotland (see Real Radio Launches Major TV Ad Campaign).
