The latest set of circulation figures, released by the ABC today, show a fairly steady performance by ten of the major regional newspapers in the weekly market, with a year on year decline of just 0.5%.
The Hereford Times and Croydon Advertiser Series showed the biggest increases in circulation amongst the top ten, rising 1.8% and 1.2% respectively. The Essex Chronicle continues to record the highest circulation at 50,046 but the West Briton Series is not far behind with a total of 49,719.
Although 4 of the 10 major titles recorded a decline, most notably the South London Press (Fri) which lost 6.5% of its circulation, overall the regional weekly market looks to be fairly stable.
