Report Predicts Hefty Increases In Online Shopping Revenues
A report by Datamonitor, The Provision of Consumer Online and Internet Services across Europe, predicts that shopping will overtake games as the key online revenue-generator by 1999, but that neither will come near to rivalling subscription revenues.

The report also looked into the cost of Internet access across Europe. The UK average charge of $26 per month was a little below the European average, but the fluctuation ranges from a $13 average in Italy to $45 in Austria.
