Report Questions Marketing Sector Growth
The slow economic recovery among Britain’s agencies could grind to a halt altogether. This warning comes from accountancy firm, Willott Kingston Smith.
According to the report, agency profits have shown modest increases, but this is as a result of tight controls on operating costs rather than billing increases. Agencies are also losing business to direct marketing specialists and media independents. In real terms profits earned per head by agencies are only 63% of those figures recorded 11 years ago.
