Reuters Revenue Increases 14% In First Quarter
Reuters have announced first quarter 1996 figures which show a 14% rise in revenue, up from £628 million in 1995 to £713 million in 1996.
Revenue in the European sector (the most productive area in terms of revenue) rose from £342m to £381m, up 11%. Revenue from media products also grew by 11%, up from £35m in 1995 to £39m in 1996.
Chief Executive Peter Job commented: “The results are broadly in line with our previous forecasts. The company continues to study means of distributing surplus cash to shareholders and expects to resolve this issue by the end of the year.”
