Information group Reuters plans to spend £500m moving its services onto the internet. Announcing its full-year financial results today the group unveiled a four-year net strategy which includes a host of technology deals.
As the group posted strong results for the year it announced a joint venture with US firm Multex to launch a European net-based private investor service and a planned partnership with Aether Systems to deliver content via mobile phones. The group also confirmed plans for a possible flotation of its online stockbroking business, Instinet.
