Revamped Saturday Telegraph – Review
This Saturday the Telegraph launched a revamped Magazine and listings section, and a new Arts & Books section.
The TV and Radio guide is a loose insert within the magazine; it is now in full colour and slightly smaller than A4 size. It offers a very concise easy to read guide, with only 2 of its 32 pages given to advertising.
The magazine has increased in size and length (to 60 pages this week) in order to include more editorial. This week as well as an extra 56-page pull out Travel Supplement, the editorial contains articles on Richard Wilson, Annie Liebovitz and a report on the war between the sexes in the office. The format and style of the magazine have not been altered at all; regular features such as Limelight and Soul Mates still appear.
Just over 40% of the magazine is given to advertisements, with advertisers including Brittany Ferries, P&O and Virgin.
Rates for the magazine have increased from £15,000 to £15,500. The Arts & Books Section is tabloid size, features new books, plays, television and art. There are 24 pages, 4 of which are given to advertising.
