Reuters, the international news and information group, has released its interim results. They show that revenue was down 2% to £1,409 million, for the six months to 30 June 1997.
Operating profit was down 5% to £297 million.
As a result, earnings per ordinary share fell 3% to 14.2p.
The drop in revenue and operating profit has been put-down to the strength of sterling in this period.
