ITV has now confirmed the rumours, Richard Eyre, chief executive of Capital Radio Group, has been appointed chief executive of the ITV Network. Eyre joins ITV as soon as he has concluded his affairs at the Radio Group.
Announcing the appointment, Leslie Hill, chairman of ITV said: “This appointment is a step forward for ITV in the strategic management of the network in an increasingly competitive environment. Richard’s track record in advertising and broadcasting makes him an outstanding choice for the job.”
