Rivals Digital Media, the company that houses popular football sites Rivals.net and Football 365 is to re-launch its online SMS services.
The new updated services will be launched on August 17th to coincide with the start of the Premiership.
Steve Clarke, director of Business Development for Rivals said: “By revamping our online SMS offering and altering the payment method to reverse billing, the whole online take up of SMS services will be much easier to follow.”
The new service includes horoscope and lottery alerts alongside existing sport packages. Customers will be able to activate the services from a single web-page. Rivals have designed the new package in-house.
The previous system, developed with Red Message, was only available offline with customers paying for services in advance. Rivals are hoping the new SMS packages will encourage new customers. The group is hoping to extend its SMS alerts into new content areas at a later date.
