River Publishing Wins Virgin Trains Contract

River Publishing has won the contract to publish Virgin Train’s customer magazine, HotLine from John Brown Citrus Publishing.
The magazine, which has a print run of 200,000, is distributed free to customers on Virgin’s train network. The magazine contains features and advertising alongside information about the train service.
River Publishing also has the contract to publish Virgin Atlantic’s inflight magazine Info. It is believed the publishers will be offering advertisers package deals to allow them to advertise in all Virgin’s customer magazines.
River Publishing’s sales team won praise earlier this year for developing ad packages across the Virgin Atlantic brand. The group recently introduced packages which include commercials on Virgin’s in-flight TV shows, news, movies and entertainment as well as in the magazines.
Hotline is expected to continue its relationship with existing advertisers, but will also seek to benefit from River Publishing’s strategy of attracting advertisers who have a synergy with the Virgin brand. Advertisers in Info magazine include the Financial Times and Diesel.
