Rugby News Limited confirmed to MediaTel this morning that it is in final discussions with Pyramid Publishing for the latter to buy monthly title Rugby News. The magazine needs the investment that Pyramid can give it, according to editor David Lawrenson. Rugby News claims sales of 25,000 but it is hoped that this can be increased to equal that of Pyramid title, Rugby World & Post which has a current circulation figure of 38,539 (Jan-Dec 1992).
