According to the FT, LWT is considering making a bid for Yorkshire-Tyne Tees.
Media Week however predicts that Granada is preparing a bid for LWT.
Broadcast suggests that Channel Television is planning to court Anglia and LWT in a bid to be taken over, to protect themselves from predators. Channel is willing to be taken over for a short term move.
