Saatchi & Saatchi Top IPA Agency League

Saatchi & Saatchi Top IPA Agency League

The IPA has published its member agency league tables for 2001, which shows that despite being a victim of client ad budget cuts along with the rest of the industry, Saatchi & Saatchi topped the all agency table with gross income of £52,750,000.

The tables are based on gross incomes of more than £250,000 and show individual agency income by region and type, and as an all agency ranking. This means that 2001 figures are not compared with 2000 figures, as in some cases contributions from regional operations which were included in certain group’s figures have now been excluded as they now appear in their own right.

IPA President Bruce Haines said: “We are grateful to our members for allowing the IPA to publish a fuller second set of gross income figures. What they continue to demonstrate is that we are an industry that punches massively above our weight in terms of business contribution. While billings is still a valid measure for media agencies, it’s important we also have a gross income ranking so that industry observers have a true sense of our size and income streams.”

WWAV Rapp Collins was top in the direct marketing/integrated/sales promotion table, with £29,423,000, while Mindshare Media UK ranks first in the media table at £24,085,771. Poster Publicity was top in outdoor specialists, with £7,011,193.
