The Saatchi brothers, Charles and Maurice, are understood to be attempting to launch a management buy out.
Their efforts to break up the group follow a board meeting two weeks ago when Charles Saatchi stepped down as a director, and an announcement that the brothers would be leaving their offices in Berkeley Square, a move which they had resisted.
They are expected to contribute more than £10m of their own money. This, the third attempt by the brothers to buy out Saatchi & Saatchi Advertising, values the company at £200m.
