Express Newspapers has announced a new sales director (circulation) in the form of Richard Miller. He will be reporting to Paul Woolfendon, commercial director, as a main board member.
Richard came from Associated Newspapers, where he worked on both the Daily Mail and the Mail On Sunday. The Express‘ circulation has flagged recently and is currently at 1,120,805 in the UK. The paper where Richard Miller came from, on the other hand, the Daily Mail, currently has a UK circulation of 2,243,293 according to the latest ABC figures.
Paul Woolfendon commented on the appointment: “Richard has a unique blend of experience as part of successful newspaper and non-newspaper trade sales teams. To have recruited someone of Richard’s calibre is a huge coup for Express Newspapers and demonstrates our committment to the continuing regeneration of our brands.”
