Sales Houses To Consider Extra Minutage
ITV sales houses Laser and TSMS have agreed to consider carrying extra advertising minutage on the stations they represent, according to Campaign.
The move was apparently prompted by Proctor and Gamble calling for more minutage at last week’s ISBA policy conference. Carlton UK Sales has said that although it rejects the principle of more minutage in peak time, it would be willing to be more flexible in earlier slots to accommodate more minutage if required.
Laser and TSMS went on to say that if extra minutage were to be implemented it would have to be on a flexible basis, being brought in to satisfy demand. Mick Desmond, Laser’s chief executive, warned however that this system would not fit in with the current station average price mechanism.
