Score Outdoor Appoints Sales Director

Scottish Radio Holdings’ wholly owned subsidiary, Score Outdoor, has appointed Greg Forster as its new director of sales, following the resignation of Bill Wilson, who will leave the group at the end of this month.

Forster currently holds the position of deputy sales director at the group. Gerry Brew, Score’s managing director, commented: “We’re lucky to have Greg already in place and he’ll provide the momentum to lead our sales effort in an improving market.”

Last month the Outdoor Advertising Association said that revenue in the industry had slipped 3% year on year during 2001, compared to a record year in 2000 (see Outdoor Advertising Saw 3% Revenue Fall In 2001). However, the mood of the industry remains optimistic: Matthew Carrington, OAA chairman, recently told NewsLine, “If ad spend goes up outdoor will perform disproportionately well against other media. If the economy remains flat the industry will hold its own, but growth will be less significant.” (see Feature: Outdoor Industry Remains Bullish)
