Scotland on Sunday is to launch a new business section in September as part of a redesign.
The business section will be available on 12 September. Besides business news it will also carry a detailed media and marketing section. Scotland on Sunday told MediaTel that the new section is to satisfy demand from both readers and advertisers. Having a separate section means there will be more room for editorial in the main paper and also more suitable space available for business advertisers within the business pages.
The Scotland on Sunday also has a lifestyle section called Spectrum which is likely to be revamped, although the details are not finalised as yet. The proposal is for a change to higher quality paper with gloss finish, and more sites for advertisers. The cover price will increase this sunday to 65p.
