The Scotsman is to launch two new editions in Stirling and Perth to challenge The Herald in central Scotland.
The Scotsman currently has three editions; in the north, the west and the lowland areas of Scotland. The two new editions launching on 13 September and will be the most closely targeted local editions and will look for more ABC1 readers.
The new editions will be produced from new offices in the appropriate towns, and prority will be given to providing a high local story content.
