Scottish Television has this morning announced results for the half year to June. Pre-tax profits were down by 46% from £3.13m last year to £1.68m this year. Scottish wrote off £2.5m after closing a studio in Edinburgh and reorganising its airtime sales. It warned there would be a decline in advertising sales this year. Scottish TV shares fell 39p by 11am this morning to 435p; Mirror Group, which has recently taken 19.9% share of STV dropped 3p to 128p this morning.
