Scottish TV Half Year Profits

Scottish Television has announced half year profits, for the period to June 30 this year, of £7.4m.

Scottish Television, which has under gone heavy cost cutting measures with the sale of the company’s loss making outplacement in the spring, has experienced a turnaround in fortune with an operating profit which has increased by 600% and profit before tax more than four times higher from £1.7m to £7.4m.

Announcing the results, company chairman, William Brown described it as “an excellent performance” adding that the outcome of the first half year encourages confidence in a satisfactory performance for the full year.”

Also announced is the sponsorship of the sports quiz show, “Game of two Halves” by the whisky firm Bell’s. Other deals are also in the pipeline.
