Selling Radio
The Radio Advertising Bureau is launching a new campaign to promote commercial radio as an advertising source. Using the slogan: ‘Advertise with pictures – use radio’, The RAB ads question what you are hearing by broadcasting different statements to the same sound or voice.
Andrew Ingram, director of account planning at the RAB, commented: “Although the ‘theatre of the mind’ is something of a cliché in radio circles, these ads clearly demonstrate just how ‘visual’ sounds can be. It’s a talent that’s unique to radio, and one which advertisers can exploit instantly and effectively for production costs which leave other media in the shade.”
