Capital 95.8FM continued its reign as the top commercial station in the London area in the latest RAJAR figures, released yesterday. Despite a 2.8% drop in its weekly reach, the station’s share of London listening remains healthy at 13%. Capital Gold, however, saw its weekly reach drop by 9.8% period on period to 1.2 million; its total share of listening in the London area is 4.4%.
Chrysalis Radio’s Heart 106.2FM also sustained losses, its weekly reach falling by almost 150,000. In the previous RAJAR figures, released in June, the station performed well, adding almost four million weekly listeners (see Heart Beats Strong In Latest Radio Figures). The station also launched an online service earlier this year (see Chrysalis Radio Launches On The Net).
