September Cinema Admissions Up By 15.4%

The latest admissions figures for Cinema for the month of September show average weekly admissions were up by 15.4% year on year to 2.38 million. This is the highest figure for September for at least the last five years. The actual admissions figure for the month was 10,215,145.

Admissions for the quarter were also up on last year, by 2.7% to an average of 2.59 million, the highest quarter of the year so far.

Among the films which were released in September of this year were Apollo 13, starring Tom Hanks and The Bridges of Madison County with Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. Last September’s films included The River Wild with Meryl Streep, and Clear and Present Danger, with Harrison Ford.
