Shake Up At German Publisher

Axel Springer, the largest newspaper group in Germany, has sacked four of the seven board members, including the chairman, Horst Keiser. The announcement was made at the annual meeting of the company. The group publishes Die Welt and Bild. The shake-up coincides with the rapid expansion of electronic media involving new partnerships between Germany’s publishing groups.
