Shake-Up At Radio 4

BBC Radio 4 today announced a major shake-up in its schedule which will come into effect next April under new controller James Boyle.

Programmes to be dropped include Afternoon Shift, Kaleidoscope, Sport On 4 and Mediumwave. In place of these there will be extra editions of The Archers, PM and You and Yours. There will also be a new nightly arts programme at 7.15pm, documentaries and debates at 8pm and a science and medicine slot at 9pm.
