Sky Digital Brings Three More Channels On Air
Sky Digital is adding three new channels to its television portfolio today, with the arrival of MTV Extra, MTV Base and VH1 Classic on its digital satellite television service.
MTV Extra carries an alternative choice of programming to MTV, and allows viewers to catch up on shows missed first time round. MTV Base is dedicated entirely to R&B and dance music, and VH1 Classic has no presenters and focuses on the best from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s.
Ian West, managing director of Sky Entertainment, commented: “This reinforces Sky’s committment to offer customers the widest choice and highest quality in whichever programming genre they like.”
