Flextech and UKTV have signed a carriage deal with BSkyB which will see their channels launched on Sky’s digital platform which is set to begin broadcasting in August.
The agreement secures carriage for ten Flextech/UKTV channels. These will include Flextech’s wholly-owned channels, Bravo, Challenge TV, Living and Trouble.
UKTV, which is a joint venture between Flextech and the BBC, has secured digital satellite carriage for existing channels UK Gold, UK Horizons, UK Arena and UK Style; there is also to be a new music service which will launch within the next twelve months.
Also announced today are plans for UK Gold to be enhanced with an additional service called UK Gold 2. This is set to launch in Autumn.
