Sky television is to broadcast the Montserrat Benefit Concert as a pay-per-view event. Sky is charging £4.95 or £6.95 if purchased after midnight on Monday 15 September, with all proceeds going to victims of the Soufriere Volcano. Artists appearing on the bill include Paul McCartney, Sting, Elton John and Mick Hucknall.
This is the latest in a line of BSkyB pay-per-view events which so far have only featured boxing but it is expected that this will extend to Premiership football.
