Sky Media Appoints New Sponsorship Controller

Sky Media, the airtimes sales division of Sky Broadcasting, has expanded its sponsorship team with the appointment of Zoë Fuller as sponsorship controller.

Fuller, previously sales controller at Sky Media, will take on responsibility for securing sponsorship agreements for Sky’s non-sports channels, including Sky One, Sky News and Sky Movies. She will report directly to commercial director, Mark Wood.

Commenting on the appointment, Wood said: “We are thrilled to have someone with Zoë’s experience and depth of understanding of sponsorship join our team.”

Prior to joining Sky Media in 2001, Fuller spent six years at sponsorship agency, Drum PHD, where she negotiated deals including Homebase’s sponsorship of ITV1’s Better Homes, The Guardian‘s sponsorship of Film On 4 and Pizza Hut’s sponsorship of the Nationwide and Worthington Cup on Sky Sports. Prior to this she worked at Channel 4, Yorkshire Television and Television South West.

Earlier this week reports suggested that BSkyB is considering paying up to £1 billion to secure the rights to broadcast Premier League football matches, despite facing less competition from rivals (see BSkyB Could Pay Up To £1bn For Premiership Rights).
