Sky News has joined forces with three broadcasters to create an international satellite news exchange.
Sky News has linked with CBS News from the United States, VTM in Belgium, and TBS from Japan. Sky News hopes to recruit French and German partners to what it claims will be the first independent satellite news exchange in Europe.
The partners will co-operate on live coverage of breaking news and exchange bulletins.
