Sky Sport Wins Viewers Enjoyment

A study conducted by Carat Research has revealed viewers preference for for Sky Sports.

Carat Research’s “Foretel” study, which monitors viewers’ reaction to programmes, shows that Sky Sports receives a higher enjoyment rating than sports programmes on ITV or Channel 4. 39% of Sky Sports viewing is scored as five out of five by viewers compared with only 26% for ITV and 27% for Channel 4.

However, all scores have dropped over the past year. The 1994 study had Sky Sports at 47%, ITV at 30% and Channel 4 at 50%. The decrease in the Channel 4 figure is largely due to its racing programme, which has plummeted from 63% to 35%.
