Starcom MediaVest Group UK has today announced the creation of the London Operations Team (LOT), a new directional unit within the group’s UK function.
The new team, which will consist of 11 senior staff members, will be responsible for refining and rolling out new board strategies directly into the agency.
Led by co-CEOs Steve Parker and Pippa Glucklich, the move aims to drive the agency into a new phase of growth.
Adam Foley, head of strategy at SMG; Ben Chesters, activation trading director at SMG; Chris Camacho, head of paid search, social and programmatic media EMEA at SMG; and Elliot Millard, business director at SMG, will all be promoted to managing partners of the company.
They will sit alongside Nicola Harvey who joined SMG from Arena in July 2014 as managing partner, Andrea Brown (managing director, Liquid Thread), Isabelle Baas (managing partner, digital), Marine Rabeau (P&G EMEA business director), Katie McAuley (global network client managing director, EMEA), Kristen Kelly (managing director global client solutions) and Richard Hocking (EMEA director of performance marketing & mobile development).
“As one of the first agencies to transform around digital, content, data and analytics we have seen the benefits of future-proofing our proposition and it’s imperative that we maintain this to ensure we continue to lead the industry,” said Glucklich.
“The changes we have made to the business represent our commitment on market changing disciplines such as Precision and Content marketing, as well as a deeper emphasis on technology and innovation.”
Parker added: “The hard work and dedication shown by these members of the SMG team has been astounding. The level of talent they display is hard to find and they are the cornerstone of what makes the agency successful.
“We know they will go to strength to strength in their new roles and that SMG will continue to benefit as a result of their contributions to the business.”
