Snooker Signs Three Year Deal With Sky Sports

The World Professional Billiards & Snooker Association have signed a three year contract worth £1.5m with Sky Sports to broadcast three world ranking snooker tournaments.

The deal, which covers the 1994/5, 1995/6, 1996/7 seasons, involves the Regal Welsh, the International Open and the British Open. The British Open and the International Open will be shown exclusively on Sky Sports; the Regal Welsh will also be covered by BBC Wales.

In addition, the Regal Masters will also be shown on Sky Sports and BBC Scotland.
