Southern Newspapers has announced a number of changes to the structure of its main Board of Directors. James Sexton, chief executive since 1991, will now concentrate on group development, strategy and general management.
Philip Ratcliff, currently operations director and Board member since 1987, is appointed deputy chief executive. Colin Rowley is appointed chairman of the group’s contract printing operations, including Southernprint (Web Offset) Ltd. This is in addition to his role as finance director.
Alan Jones, commercial director since 1996, is appointed as managing director of the group’s Newspaper Division. He will assume day-to-day responsibility for 120 titles across the southern regions.
