Sponsorship marketing company, Sponsorshiponline, is preparing to celebrate its second birthday next week.

Despite the difficult market conditions, the company, which was established to allow sponsorship seekers to market their opportunities to potential sponsors and agencies, now has over 7,000 registers users and offers a range of sponsorship services.

Sponsorship is becoming an increasingly popular way for brands to market themselves and Sponsorshiponline.com enables clients to input a range of selection criteria and receive details of properties that match their requirements. Users can then opt to receive regular emails advising them of new opportunities.

Betty Maitland, the company’s managing director, said: “We took a decision due to the market conditions to build the site slowly and to get agencies, sponsors and sponsor seekers to use this new concept in sponsorship marketing. This has proved to be exactly the right decision.”

She added: “Our use of strategic partners has also set us apart. Partnerships with MediaTrader and Sportcal give us additional audiences for our sponsorship properties and them valuable additional content.”

The company, which recently launched a specialised recruitment service, is also developing a number of geographical partnerships, the first of which is an alliance with New Zealand-based sponsorship specialists, Sportzbiz.

Earlier this year sponsorship solutions company, SponsorClick, launched a new service allowing advertisers to assess the benefits of sponsorship activity.
